Starfires top Worcester
The Westfield Starfires closed the gap for the final playoff spot to a half game with a decisive 5-0 win over Worcester on Friday night. The win put the team in striking distance of the fourth playoff spot, currently held by the Bravehearts. Shayne Audet was the star on the mound going 5 innings and striking out 11 for the win. The Starfires play Saturday (6:30 p.m.) against Brockton and a Sunday doubleheader (3 p.m., 5:30 p.m.) against Pittsfield. Both games are at historic Billy Bullens Field in Westfield |
